15th WBC Show Results

The World Bromeliad Conference 2002 that took place in May in St. Petersburg, Florida was a wonderful Bromeliad Beach Party. Thirteen floor displays entered by both Affiliates and Commercial supporters helped make the St. Pete Hilton a bromeliad lover's paradise.

Approximately 357 people from 22 states and 15 different countries attended as registrants. The attendance swelled by several hundred each day of the weekend, when those who were unable to register for the whole Conference came by bus, car and trolley.

It takes much hard work and planning from many, many bromeliad lovers to bring about a successful World Bromeliad Conference. Thank you Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs and the many hard workers on each Committee. A very special thank you to all the Seminar speakers, both General Seminars and Scientific Seminars. Thank you to all who donated time, money, goods, creativity and brain power. Many thanks to those who planned, gathered, transported and assembled the beautiful exhibits and displays that made this Conference unique.
