Genus: LapanthusLapanthus is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. It was accepted after a study of two species from the genera Cryptanthus and Orthophytum. (Louzada & Versieux, 2010. Systematic Botany 35(3): 497-503). The two included species are native to Minas Gerais State in Brazil.Number of accepted species in this genus is 2 (source: species counts in the Encyclopaedia of Bromeliads). |
