Genus: Steyerbromelia

Steyerbromelia is a genus of the subfamily Pitcairnioideae. It was named for Julian A. Steyermark, American plant collector, author, and editor. The nine known species in the genus are endemic to southern Venezuela, Colombia and Guyana, where they grow as terrestrials and saxicoles on rocky slopes, cliffs and the Tepuis mountains.
