Genus: Wittrockia

Wittrockia is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus name is for Veit Bracher Wittrock, a Swedish botanist (1839-1914). The seven known species are all endemic to the Atlantic Forest biome (Mata Atlantica Brasileira), of eastern and southeastern Brazil, where they grow as epiphytes and terrestrials.
