Mature upright rosette to 24” (60cm.) high x 18”( 45cm.) diameter. Spiny, sword-like upright mid-green leaves flushed red in strong light . The arching, red-stemmed inflorescence to 1 metre tall or more has many right-angled branches and sub-branches, lengthy at the bottom but tapering at the top, plus clusters of cone-shaped light green / cream ovaries and purple flowers.
