Mature, vase-shaped, rosette to 40cm. tall, flaring at the top. Black-spined, grey-green, leathery leaves with silver cross-banding and slight brown marbling in strong light. Arching, coral red-bracted inflorescence with spreading violet flowers. Parentage quoted is as grown in Queensland, but is possibly a straight Billbergia or a x Billnelia, to explain the silver cross-bands and inflorescence structure / colouring. Reg. Doc. 8/2017 by G.
