Baensch said, "The rosette is formed by about 40 leaves becoming bronze in good light - 28" high - 36" diameter - form is elegant and reminds one of a dancer - inflorescence is formed by hundreds of flowers in a bright orange cluster - very cold sensitive - large numbers of pups form on the spike". Note Pseudananas in now Ananas ( 2003)
