Hawkes mentions this cross in his 1959 Bromeliad Papers 1:53 as being unnamed and proposed the name xBillnelia 'Jack Roth' - however, 'Sebastian Laruelle' predates Hawkes and renders his proposed name invalid. See also Aechmea 'Pinegrove Lass'
