xHOHENMEA ‘Psycho’ Draper Ross 2014

Mature very large open rosette to 1.2 metres diameter x 90cms. high. Very thick, heavily silver-scurfed, grey-green, purple-tinted leaves with outer leaf portions turning sepia / dark purple in full sun. Brown-spined foliage reverse has light silver cross-banding with leaf width 9cms. Erect, red powdery-stemmed, strongly-branched spike can reach 2.5 metres tall with reddish floral bracts to 23cms. long, mealy green clustered "cones" and lilac flowers. Inflorescence lower branches are up to 40cms. long each. So named because this cultivar, with heavy feeding, grew super fast from seed-sowing to flowering in just 19 months. Reg. Doc. 8/2015. .
