Mature, large open, upright rosette to 70cm. diameter x 50cm. high. In strong light, heavily frosted maroon / blackish leaves with black spines and some dark cross-banding. Leaning or arching, branched spike to 65cm long with clusters of pinecone-shaped lime capsules bearing brown floral bracts and lilac flowers, which fade to white during the course of each day. Reg.
