[GrowRR] What is this symptom

Dear all,

This is my first post to this 'round robin'. Good tidings to all.

I wish to find out from fellow tillandsia growers, what is happening to my 
airplants. Please see these photos:

Many of my precious airplants hitherto considered 'toughies' have fallen 
under this damnation. My room hardly gets direct sun so those are not scorch 
marks. I fan my tillys for hours and hours after watering them.

Your advice will help sustain my hobby. Thanks a million.
