Mature, open large rosette to 80cm. diameter. Broad, wine red leaves, tinged / speckled green, particularly on inner growth with pleated portions towards the pointed leaf tips. Erect, maroon-stemmed, branched spike to 1.8 metres tall with dusky red peduncle and floral bracts, yellowish green ovaries and sepals, plus golden yellow flowers with exserted stamens.
