Mature, stocky, tubular rosette to 20cm. diameter x 30cm. tall. Full growth of circa 20 green-spined, stiff bronzed green leaves with blackish tips and a characteristic down-turn or angled growth per leaf about 2/3rds along.each blade. Inside each leaf is coloured black. .Erect, open, branched inflorescence to 20cm. high with pale pink peduncle bracts, bright pink sepals tipped purple and purple flowers.
