Matiure, upright, open rosette to 50cm. diameter x 60cm. high. In strong light, frosted indigo, upright, black-spined leaves with pale silver cross-banding and slightly down-turned tips. Rosette base is semi-bulbous and the foliage reverse is heavily scurfed grey-green. Erect, branched, mealy-stemmed spike to 1 metre high with pink scape bracts, side fascicles of narrow, frosted green ovaries and white tubular flowers which blacken when spent. Reg.
