Mature, open, very large rosette to 1 metre diameter x 50cm. high. Spreading, mid-green, broad leaves (to 10cm. wide) with darker pastel reddish brown mottling / cross-banding, more pronounced on new growth. Reverse foliage in particular has a pinkish purple hue. Erect / leaning branched spike to 1.7 metres tall with up to 6 flat-sided branches, straight at first, but which twist as they grow. Each branch develops up to 40 flowers per branch with lime ovaries, pink-speckled yellow sepals and yellow petals. This cultivar multiplies by both basal offsets and upper pups in leaf axils. The first registered in this new bigeneric genus, both seed parent and pollen parent were formerly classified as Vrieseas. Reg. Doc. 2/2017. Country of origin: Queensland Australia | |||
